Volunteer Positions Available

Join us as a volunteer

The West Auckland Historical Society are seeking general committee members for the 2026 year.

We also invite expressions of interest in two specific volunteer positions on our committee.  Both opportunities would be ideal for someone based locally, this is particularly important for the first role.

WAHS Henderson's Mill Cottage Manager

This role is currently managed by our co-Chair, Wayne Black.

He needs to cut back on his many commitments, but is available to mentor someone into the role.

The cottage is currently in good shape due to Wayne's input, it has recently been water blasted and maintenance is under control.  This would suit a retired person who lives in close vicinity to Sel Peacock Drive, Henderson.

We are a friendly committee team who will support you in this opportunity.

Phone Wayne on 0210724877 if you are interested in this opportunity.
